For a while now I have been viewing images on Instagram and Facebook from various artist/photographers and have always wanted to give it a shot myself and as I love night photography what better time to do it.

Getting the equipment.
What you need is a torch over 1000lumes, Clear tubing, tripod, camera, model, and a dark location. The hardest part for me was getting the clear tubing. After looking in most hardware stores I couldn’t find any so to the internet it was. Once received I headed out with a friend to a dark location. Make sure torch fits into tubing and you can switch it on and off while attached.
Next is setting up your camera for long exposure in manual mode and postioning your model in the correct place.

Once ready putting a 2sec or 10sec timer on your camera so you can quickly run around get behind the model with the tubing in hand and turn it around 360degrees (make sure camera has triggered and torch is on once behind model).
You can do this in many different ways, you don’t have to turn it 360 but can move it in any direction just do not point the torch straight at the camera.

These are some of the interesting photography images I took last night.
