My old friend asked me if I could show him how to use his camera and how to get the perfect fishing shot whether that would be at night or in the day. So we went out last night in a local town called Knarsborough. I showed him how to use long exposure to get that great shot at night with out filters and in combination using his f-stop (aperture), opening wide to let more light into the camera. After the light bulb moment happened I showed him the iso and how to change that to pull out the stars at night and get that long exposure picture looking good.
After taking a few pictures I upped the game bringing out a flash gun and showed him that this would be great for that long exposure fish shot. Using what he had just learned I showed him how I would take the picture then let him have a go.
Here is his picture. Sadly his batteries died on his camera do he had a go with my camera. See the pictures below, the 1st is his go with my camera and flash gun ( we also pretended to hold a fish). The bottom 3 are from his own camera after learning how to take the pictures.
Yes there is lights around the location that we did this but this is for practice (tutorial purposes) and gives the learner an idea of what they can achieve.
